How To change Device Number on your Fingerprint Reader

When you connect to your Fingerprint Reader via serial connection, you must know it’s device number.

1. Click on [Menu] button.
2. If have at least one administrator, you will have to authenticate with the fingerprint or password to get into the menu.
3. Use [Up]/[Down] buttons to select “Options” and press [OK] button.
4. Use [Up]/[Down] buttons to select “Comm Opt” and press [OK] button.
5. Use [Up]/[Down] buttons to select “Options” and press [OK] button.
6. Use [Up]/[Down] buttons to select “Dev Num” and press [OK] button.
7. Use numeric keys buttons to set any number up to 3 digits long. Press [OK] button when you are done.
8. Press [Esc] button to get out of the menu.  You will be asked to save.  Press [OK] button to confirm changes.
9. Press [ESC] button several times until you exit to the main screen.
